Student Wellbeing

The wellbeing of all members of our school us central to our vision for a happy and healthy school. We strive to develop skills necessary to face life’s challenges with hope, faith and resilience.

Pastoral Care at St. Thomas Aquinas Norlane is based on the values and person of Jesus Christ. It therefore seeks to promote an atmosphere where students and staff are able to learn in a safe, stable and happy environment. Of fundamental importance is the relationship of trust, cooperation and partnership between school staff, students and their families. This community approach to promoting and enhancing wellbeing provides a safe, secure, supportive environment for each member of our school community.

HEALTHY TOGETHER GEELONG

St Thomas Aquinas Primary School have joined up with a City of Greater Geelong initiative “Healthy Together Geelong”.

There are many benefits to promoting health in schools, the simplest being that healthy children and young people learn better. The early years environment can influence children’s health and wellbeing and this impacts on their learning and development.

A whole service approach to health promotion brings together educators, staff, management, children, families and the broader community to promote health and wellbeing
