Religious Education is at the centre of both the formal and informal interactions of our school community. St Thomas Aquinas Primary School has a visible Catholic symbolic culture and active sacramental and liturgical practices. The values, ideals and challenges of the Gospel are unpacked and shared within our school community. The expression in our curriculum and ethos of our school celebrate the rich traditions of the Catholic Church.
Catholic Identity
St Thomas Aquinas Primary School share the vision, dedication, hard work and commitment of the whole of our Catholic community. We are blessed to have the St Thomas Aquinas Parish Church a part of our school grounds. The Catholic Identity of St Thomas Aquinas Parish School school defines who we are and what we value as a community. Our identity is more than the rich symbolism we see throughout our learning spaces, it is in the very fabric of our culture. The way we encounter each other, our community and the wider world. Whilst we promote our Catholic Faith, we are also aware of the many faiths around the world. We inspire to be a ‘Dialogue school’ that welcomes contemplation, wonderings and richer learning opportunities from all faiths, people and their beliefs. Our school and community is strongly supported by our Parish Priest, Rev. Ray Zammit MSSP
Curriculum

It describes the learning and teaching in Religious Education for Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Melbourne. The framework sits within the context of the Education Framework for the Archdiocese of Melbourne, Horizons of Hope and is coupled with rich learning experiences that our students journey through.
Our educators collaboratively plan to ensure that powerful learning experiences exist throughout all aspects of our school, including the Religious Education Learning Program.
