Learning & Teaching

St Thomas Aquinas offers a personalized approach to student learning, in preparation for their journey ahead.

St Thomas Aquinas strives to provide a broad education that helps each child develop fully as a positive member of our school and community. Our curriculum is designed to stimulate, challenge and celebrate achievements.

Our Teaching and Learning is focused on but not limited to the following areas:

  • Religious Education
  • English
  • Mathematics
  • Physical Education and Health Education
  • Communication and Information Technology
  • The Arts
  • Languages other than English (LOTE)
  • Inquiry units of work

In an era where skills necessary to obtain knowledge are increasingly important, we endeavour to develop children with the appropriate skills they need to seek, interpret and manipulate the wealth of information available to them.

Our school is organized around two Learning Communities, Prep – Year 2 and Years 3 – 6. The classes and teachers work collaboratively towards personalizing the learning for all children.
