Student Led Conferences

At St Thomas Aquinas Primary School, we value the partnership between home and school. Student Led Conferences are an important opportunity for children to share their learning, progress, and goals with their parents and teacher in a close and personal setting.

What are Student Led Conferences?

Unlike traditional parent–teacher meetings, Student Led Conferences place the child at the centre of the conversation. Students take an active role in presenting their work, reflecting on their achievements, and identifying areas for growth. This process builds confidence, responsibility, and ownership of learning.

Partnership in Learning

Student Led Conferences highlight the belief that learning is most powerful when school and home work together. By hearing directly from their child, parents are able to celebrate successes, encourage persistence, and support future goals.

At St Thomas Aquinas, these conferences are a key way we build a community where students are confident, capable, and supported to thrive.
